In accordance with the decision of the Higher Health Council dated 23.05.1995 and numbered 18/1,  with the request of the Ministry of Health and the proposal of the Higher Education Council and with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 96/8616, dated November 2, 1996 which was published on newspaper number 22805, the School of Health is affiliated with the Inonu unıversıty and established. Our school started education in 1997/1998 academic year and was affiliated to the newly established Adıyaman University in accordance with the paragraph (b) of the additional-article 68 of the law numbered 5467 dated 01.03.2006.

Later, with the Official newspaper dated March 4, 2020 and numbered 31058, the School of Health was transformed into the Faculty of Health Sciences with the Presidency's decision number 2222.

Our Faculty of Health Sciences; It is an institution that trains nurses and midwives. Our faculty includes 1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors, 5 Teaching Assistant and 4 Research Assistant, It serves 818 students with its faculty member. 4-year undergraduate education is given in Nursing and Midwifery Departments.
